Gun Control / Gun Rights Resources

December 2013

I have been collecting and reading about the gun-control/rights debate for a few years now.  I thought it was time to organize the resources I have and am aware of and put them into some kind of coherent form for others to use as well.  I will be including all of the following: news articles, opinion pieces, true-fact lists, major studies from research groups, peer-reviewed journal articles, and books that cover both current policy and historical issues (and perhaps some videos).  I will present both sides of the issue, but because I am more conservative in my view of this issue, there will probably be more resources tilted toward that perspective.  Regardless, I encourage you to read both in order to become familiar with the debate and sift through the arguments, finding those that are valid, those that depend upon straw men or twisted truth, and those which are blatantly false.  Although there are almost always two sides to each issue, that does not mean the both sides are equally valid in terms of evidence or argument.

[Note: this page is a work in progress; there are literally hundreds of resources I have to work through and organize, so I will be chipping away at this little by little].
